Election Day is right around the corner, and I want to ensure you have all the information you need. We’re 2 days away from a statewide special election in California, and early voting has already opened up.
Read below for details about what’s on the ballot, how to register to vote, and important dates.
Our right to vote in free, fair, and open elections are the bedrock of American democracy. Whatever your politics may be, your voice matters.
WHAT'S ON THE BALLOT
is a Constitutional Amendment that authorizes temporary changes to California’s Congressional District maps in response to Texas’ redistricting. It was put on the ballot by the California State Legislature.
REGISTER TO VOTE
Registering to vote is easy and takes only a few minutes. The deadline to register online was October 20, 2025, but there are still ways to sign up!
If you need to change your voter registration or want to register for the first time, you can register online here and take your voter registration or receipt with you to your county elections office or a voting location. Then, you’re ready to vote.
If you’re a military voter, an overseas voter, or a voter with a disability, and you are not able to vote in person at your county elections office or a voting location, you should contact your county elections office. To find a list of locations where you can vote, click here.
IMPORTANT DATES
October 25 – Nov 3: Vote centers are open for early in-person voting in all Voter’s Choice Act counties.
November 4: Special Election Day (and the last day to register to vote).
November 12: Deadline for vote-by-mail ballots postmarked on or before Election Day to be counted
