Washington, DC
Internships in Washington, D.C. give college students or recent graduates invaluable work experience and insight into the legislative process. In Washington, interns' responsibilities will vary, and range from answering phones, legislative research for the Member and legislative staff, attending hearings and briefings and organizing constituent letters on various issues before the House. We are seeking motivated, organized, and reliable individuals, and California ties are preferred. The program is currently not open to high school students.

Internship candidates are encouraged to apply for internship positions in the Washington, D.C. office at least two months in advance of the desired start date.

California congressional offices have interns assist with a variety of tasks, including answering phones, writing letters, assisting constituents, and District-based projects of importance. The program is currently not open to high school students.
