The funding would be used to conserve 11,000-acres, almost 10% of the Trinity River headwaters, located in Trinity County, California. It is a unique opportunity to confer significant community and ecological benefit in this economically depressed Northern California region. It will protect critical forest and wildlife habitat, enhance water security, reduce fire risk, support restoration jobs, and increase recreational opportunities.
