Rep. Huffman Announces Winners of 2nd Annual Landscape Photography Competition
WASHINGTON—Congressman Jared Huffman (D-San Rafael) today announced the winners of his 2nd district-wide landscape photography competition:
- 1st place: Casey Schneider of Fortuna won 1st place for his photo of an Elk in front of the Stone Lagoon near Orick, CA (318 votes)
- 2nd place: Steve Eberhard of Willits for his photo of the Little Lake Valley near Willits, CA (312 votes)
Huffman also announced the countywide winners:
- Marin: Arnie Battaglene of Marin County: Mt Tam
- Sonoma: Mark Thayer of Cloverdale: Lake Sonoma
- Mendocino: Steve Eberhard of Willits
- Humboldt: Casey Schneider of Fortuna
- Del Norte: Keith Barnett of Hiouchi: Battery Point Lighthouse
- Trinity: Christine Seronello of Hayfork: Hayfork Sunset
“For the 2nd year in a row, this photography competition showcased exactly why we have the most beautiful Congressional District in the nation,” Congressman Huffman said. “Thank you to so many of my constituents for submitting their breathtaking photos of our district, and congratulations to Casey Schneider and Steve Eberhard for their winning photographs.”
The two winning photographs, as determined by most likes, will be published as Congressman Huffman’s official Twitter header photo and Facebook cover photo for three months apiece.
