Huffman Releases Wildfire Resource Guide
San Rafael, CA – Today, Representative Jared Huffman (D-San Rafael) released a wildfire resource guide to help those affected by the LNU Lightning Complex, Sonoma County, and Woodward fires access resources available to them to help them recover.
“After several years working with wildfire survivors, I know how complicated and daunting the recovery process can be. This year, we have an added threat that requires adapting the way we respond to fires – the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Rep. Huffman. “That is why I’ve developed a new Wildfire Resource Guide. I want to ensure my constituents have the information and resources needed to safely navigate this fire in the face of a deadly pandemic and can quickly and easily recover when we come out on the other side. My staff and I are here to help for the long haul, and I will work with my colleagues and government partners to make sure that rebuilding efforts in California are fully supported.”
The guide can be found here and includes information about all the current resources available to fire survivors, including FEMA assistance and Small Business Administration loans, and information on best practices to stay safe during the pandemic. The guide will be updated if and when more resources become available.
Constituents who need assistance or more information about these resources, should contact Huffman’s district officesfor individual support.
