Monday, May 10: Huffman to Convene Emergency Drought Summit

Meeting Will Address Drought Conditions in the Russian River

San Rafael, CA – On Monday, May 10 at 11:00 am PT, Congressman Jared Huffman (D-San Rafael) will convene water user stakeholders for a virtual summit to explore needs, available solutions, and collaborative approaches to address the emergency drought conditions in the Russian River. Congressman Huffman will be joined by Congressman Mike Thompson, Senator Mike McGuire, Assemblymember Jim Wood, Sonoma County Supervisor Lynda Hopkins, and Mendocino County Supervisor Glenn McGourty.

The event will consist of brief remarks by elected officials followed by two panels of local and national experts and stakeholders moderated by Representatives Huffman and Thompson.
