Rep. Huffman’s Statement on President Biden’s Middle East Peace Plan

Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Jared Huffman (CA-02)issued the following statement:

“President Biden is right: it’s time for this war to end. His diplomacy and unwavering commitment to peace has led to a plan that I believe will give the people of Israel and Palestine a fair and viable path to a better future. It addresses the biggest hurdles – the release of all hostages, an immediate surge of humanitarian relief to innocent Palestinians, a complete mutual ceasefire, and a path to rebuilding Gaza.  Israel’s War Cabinet and our Arab partners Egypt and Qatar have signaled their support for this plan. It is now up to Hamas to accept it and finally bring an end to this horrific war.”
