Rep. Huffman Urges Bipartisan Congressional Investigation Into Russian Interference in Presidential Election

December 14, 2016

Washington, D.C.- Congressman Jared Huffman (D-San Rafael) today urged Chairman Jason Chaffetz of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform to launch a bipartisan investigation into any interference by Russia in the 2016 presidential election.

In calling for action, Rep. Huffman joins Rep. Elijah E. Cummings, Ranking Member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, who wrote earlier this week to Chairman Jason Chaffetz of the Oversight Committee, requesting that he conduct a bipartisan investigation into Russia’s role in interfering with and influencing in the recent presidential election.

Rep. Cummings’ request follows Senator Graham’s request for a similar investigation in the United States Senate.
