ICYMI: Rep. Huffman Coronavirus Virtual Town Hall with North Coast Experts

San Rafael, CA – Yesterday, Representative Jared Huffman held a virtual town hall to answer questions from constituents and give an update on the government’s response to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Rep. Huffman was joined by a panel of experts, including Humboldt County Public Health Officer Dr. Teresa Frankovich; Leila Roberts, Director, the North Coast Small Business Development Center; and Gregg Foster, Executive Director, Redwood Region Economic Development Commission. The event was hosted by the Community Media Center of Marin and broadcast on the Congressman’s Facebook page and Access Humboldt, as well as several local radio stations and networks.

During the event, Rep. Huffman fielded a series of questions from constituents over more than an hour, on topics including the need for more testing and medical equipment, how families and administrators are managing school closures, the negotiations in Washington on the federal response, and the additional relief that small businesses and other employers need.
