Fairfax-San Anselmo Children’s Center Safety Upgrade
The Fairfax-San Anselmo Children’s Center is the oldest-standing state-subsidized childcare center in Marin County, serving 110 children on state-subsidized, childcare slots (which makes up 12% of the County’s total slots). The Center is in need of major rehabilitation, safety improvements, and property upgrades to ensure it can remain open to the working, low-income families it serves. This funding will contribute to upgrading the facilities, including ADA ramps, retaining walls, a new fire alarm system, roofing, bathroom updates, abatement, wiring and electrical needs, lighting, and parking lot upgrades.
Awarded: $850,000
